Rheumatoid arthritis group: Meetings for people with arthritis or related diseases

Chat group: Open meetings for all members of the Arthritis Society who want to meet others and have a chat over a cup of coffee.

Uric acid gout/crystalline gout: Meetings for people with gout or uric acid arthritis, but everyone with pain problems is welcome.

Parents with arthritis: Parents with arthritis often feel isolated and often have to find other ways of doing things than other parents. We are going to be offering meetings this winter where parents with arthritis can meet other parents to discuss things with others in the same situation, both to chat and also to learn from each other. Children are welcome to come along too.

Book club: The group meets once a month and discusses pre-selected books. It is announced in advance which book is to be discussed at each meeting.

Craft group:  There's little as pleasant as sitting in a good company with your craft and a good chat. This winter, a craft group will be run by the Arthritis Society. There will be experienced craftspeople on hand who have experience in finding new ways to do crafts to avoid hand pain, and can offer guidance on techniques and posture. Everyone is welcome to bring their own craft. You are also welcome to just come along for a chat and have a cup of coffee and a snack.

Fibromyalgia group: A group for people with fibromyalgia or other pain problems.

Arthritis group; Everyone with osteoarthritis or joint pain is welcome.

It is good for people to let us know that they are going to attend the meetings, either on the Facebook groups for each group or by email to the office at gigt@gigt.is.
