These terms and conditions apply to all transactions with the Arthritis Society of Iceland, registration number 670478-0769, whether for the purchase of memorial cards, payment of membership fees or registration for courses. By completing a purchase, the customer accepts the terms and conditions.
1. Payment methods
Payments are made through a secure payment gateway and can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.), debit card or online banking, as available at any given time.
2. Memory card
Memorial cards are delivered electronically or sent by post, as requested by the customer.
All proceeds from the sale of memorial cards go to the Arthritis Society.
Purchased memory cards cannot be refunded as they are considered a personalised item.
3. Membership fees
Membership fees are annual and valid for one calendar year, unless otherwise stated.
Paid membership fees are non-refundable, unless the collection was the result of an error.
Upon payment of the membership fee, the individual acquires the rights of a member of the Arthritis Association of Iceland in accordance with the association's statutes.
4. Course
Course registration is completed online and is binding upon payment.
Cancellations must be received by email no later than 48 hours before the course starts to receive a full refund.
If cancellation is made after this time, a refund is only possible if special circumstances apply and at the discretion of the Rheumatism Association.
The Arthritis Society reserves the right to postpone or cancel courses if there is insufficient participation or other unforeseen circumstances arise. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
5. Confidentiality and privacy
The Arthritis Society of Iceland places great emphasis on the security and confidentiality of personal data. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Act no. 90/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Processing of Personal Data.
Information is not disclosed to third parties unless required by law or with the customer's consent.
6. Liability and disclaimer
The Arthritis Society accepts no liability for any loss that may result from failures in computer systems, internet services, or other causes beyond its control that affect the delivery or performance of the service.
The company reserves the right to change its terms and conditions without prior notice. The new terms take effect upon publication on the company's website.
